The Life Of The Police Man

The Life Of The Police Man

The police man is the government servant. In Pakistan he enjoys a great authority. He is responsible for maintaining many law and order in the country. He wears a grey militia uniform with a black cap on his head and a black leather belt round has waist. The uniform of traffic constable is white shirt and blue trousers and a blue cap. He controls traffic in big cities and towns. In our country the problem of traffic has become very serious. It is mostly due to the traffic police that people whether pedestrians or cyclist motorists or drivers, observe the rules of traffics otherwise there  would be many accidents.

He maintains peace and order and brings the law-breakers to book. He keeps an eye on rogues and bad characters. He is responsible for protecting the interest peace-living citizens. He patrols the city at night with gun in his hand to keep off thieves and evil-doers. He is the guardian of social peace. He investigates into the criminal cases and brings the law breakers to the courts of law for trial.

His duty is very  hard. While arresting the criminals, his own life is in danger. He receive a very small salary. Therefore, it is the major causes of his falling a prey to the temptation of unfair means of earning. His small salary fails to meet his daily expenses.

Till recently there had been only a few educated constables but now  certificate of Matriculation is essential  to secure recruitment  to this  post. Policemen in England and Europe are well-educated and well-trained. They are very polite and friendly towards the public. They are loyal to their duties and help the common people with a willing heart. To the strangers they are courteous and to the rogues they are terror. They are services. In Pakistan, special attention should be paid to the building of policemen character. Once character is formed, it never dies. The government should pay heed to their well-being in the society.
